Thermal Transient (TT) Analysis
Explicit, time-dependent, FEA-simulations used for analyzing stress, deformation and temperature of either weld- or induction heating process.

- All heating modes.
- Heat-transfer and contact definitions in all solid body-interfaces.

Synthesis of Inorganic Materials

Our Experience
○ Mounting and sealing of glassware and confirmation of inert gas-flow through it.

Characterization of Inorganic Materials
Both overall and in-depth materials characterization using X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron Microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy and Hardness Testing.
Our Competence
○ Together with our customers we identify their need for material analysis. We agree on suitable samples. Then we use scientific literature and/or standards to define a material analysis to be performed at a suitable lab, using:
- X-ray diffraction analysis to reveal overall crystalline content of materials.
- Scanning Electron Microscopy to study micro-defects, crystal chemistry (EDX) and size and to image sample topography.
- Transmission Electron Microscopy to study shapes of individual nano-crystals and nano-laminates by a translucent image and to analyze their chemistry.
- Vickers hardness testing to study cutups of welded metal structures or metal laminates.

Our Experience
○ Worked hands-on with XRD-machines, mounting samples and suitable slits.
○ Worked hand-on with characterization of X-ray diffractograms: manually determined phases of semiconductor materials using ICDD databse.
○ Written Matlab-code for Rietveld, phase-proportions of composite materials, analysis where we included a manually chosen noise level parameter.
